Our bee-keeping project began in 2006 in the acacia and chestnut woods of Botticella di Novafeltria (700 metres above sea level) and in 2009, the honey from our beehives was certified as organic.

San Patrignano and its young residents handle all the various activities involved, which range from the production phase, to extraction by centrifugal force, separation, filtering and packaging.

Honey collected in the spring. Mostly comes from typical local wild flowers.

Chestnut honey is dark in colour, varying from amber to almost black.

It has a delicate aroma of acacia and white spring flowers, as well as a soft and silky consistency.
